I have absolute trust and confidence in the practice. Ian and his colleagues have looked after me and my family for over 20 years and during this time I have always enjoyed personal and caring treatment.

This practice dispenses the very best and up to date care. It is testament to this dedication that Ian recently took an MSc whilst continuing full time practice.

A year ago Ian’s clever mind discovered that something I thought was just a minor one off issue was in reality an extremely unusual and serious condition which if not spotted may have resulted in the loss of my upper jaw. The treatment prescribed restored me to full health, and being only the second of its kind in the country may now feature in the future teaching of dental medicine.

Even though I have moved away from the town, my wife and I continue to return for care at the practice . Having a dental team upon whom one can rely is most reassuring. There is nothing more important than good health and we feel lucky to have the support of the ABCD team.

I first saw Dr ‘Mac’ Ogretme almost a decade ago. Being a child and young adult during the 70’s and 80’s, I was one of the unfortunate number who had been subjected to unnecessary dental work (not at this surgery I hasten to add). I initially went to Atkinson Brignall for their reputation for having a caring and sympathetic approach to nervous patients.

Dr Ogretme was an absolute joy from the first contact, and remains so until today. Always with a ready smile , Dr Ogretme’s gentle and empathetic manner has restored my faith in dentistry and she has now advised on, repaired and treated my teeth for the past decade. They have never been better!

Since having a bad experience several years ago at the dentist I have been terrified of having anything done which included the use of needles. When I was told I would have to have 3 teeth taken out but this could be done under sedation I was very interested.
When I went for my appointment Dr Brignall made me feel very at ease, the procedure was fully explained to me and that I would be awake the whole time but would have no recollection of what was happening. Well - when he told me they had finished and it was all over I didn’t believe him, I had sat in that chair for over half an hour but hadn’t felt a thing. It was amazing! I would thoroughly recommend this procedure and the Practice, to anybody, who, like me, is scared stiff of the dentist!

This is just a short letter to say a resounding thank you for the expert care and treatment I have been given at your practice following my traumatic accident with my front tooth.
I was extremely concerned that I would be left with a permanent disfigurement after the accident in December 2007, but following your professional advice I was able to evaluate my options and make an informed choice thanks to your guidance as to which treatment I opted for. When I first broke my front teeth, I really didn’t know what was going to happen. My dentist made me a small denture which was great as a temporary measure, but not something I wanted long term. He suggested I saw Ian to look into the possibility of implants.

For the last 15 years I have had two top front crowns that were slightly chunky and not aligned with my other teeth. Dr Ian Brignall moved the gum line up and replaced the crowns. The quality of the work was such that even the temporary crowns made on site were a vast improvement and the permanent crowns with the changed gum line are a perfect fit. Dr Ian is clearly a perfectionist who cares about his profession and his Practice is a delight to visit.

Last year, after two years of deliberating, I went ahead and had a tooth implant. I am delighted with my implant. "We've been coming to this practice for several years now on a recommendation from a friend. They weren't wrong to suggest it. Miles is a great dentist for children - reassuring and caring but also genuinely interested in them! However the reason for writing a review is that my elderly mother felt faint after her hygienist appt last week.
