Ian graduated from Bristol University in 1984 and initially followed a surgical pathway working in a number of hospitals in the¬¬ South of England including a very rewarding year at the renowned Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead. Ian returned to General Practice in 1988 initially in Tonbridge before joining and becoming a Partner at London House, Sevenoaks where he worked for 16 years, latterly with Oasis Dental Care in the role of Lead Clinician until June 2006.
Whilst Ian still carries out surgery on referral from other dental colleagues, he has developed special interests in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. Ian both places and restores dental implants and is building up a state of the art cosmetic dental service in Sevenoaks – Sevenoaks Smile Studio. Ian, a self confessed perfectionist, is passionate about dentistry and the way it enables him to improve peoples lives for the better.
Ian has a well established reputation for providing quality, reliable care. A keen fan of postgraduate education, Ian completed his DPDS Diploma in 2005 specialising in bridgework, gum disease and dentures. Keen to formalise his implant knowledge, Ian studied on the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons ‘Diploma in Implant Dentistry’, and regularly attends courses both in this country and abroad. After three years of study, essay writing, research and case presentations of treatment carried out at the practice, in 2012 Ian completed his MSc in Aesthetic Dentistry from Kings College, London, which he passed with a Distinction and was honoured to be awarded the inaugural King’s College “Henry Schein Excellence Award”.
Ian is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry, Association of Dental Implantology and is a Full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Ian is married and lives locally with his wife and two daughters. In what little spare time he has, he enjoys golf, gardening, DIY and photography. His nature photography can be seen on the walls of the practice.

Miles graduated from Edinburgh University Dental Hospital in 1990 with class medals in Advanced Restorative Dentistry and Oral Medicine. Being a Kentish man, he returned South of the Border to work in Private practices in Canterbury, Bromley and, more recently Sevenoaks, before establishing this family orientated practice with his long term colleague, Dr Ian Brignall. Miles has extensive experience in many areas of general dental practice, but has a special interest in the field of cosmetic dentistry. He really enjoys helping the children and the more anxious patients to realise their dental aspirations by providing extremely caring, quality dentistry with a calm and relaxing manner.
Miles is a member of the British Dental Association. He is an enthusiastic member of the local and regional post graduate education study groups. Miles has recently trained in Dental Practice Appraisal. These ongoing activities compliment the practice policies in striving to provide comprehensive, evidence based dental treatments for all our patients.
Miles is married with 4 children, and enjoys many outdoor activities and hobbies – most notably cycling and rugby. Together, they manage to keep his hands full, but his boundless energy and bubbly enthusiasm keeps him smiling throughout.

Mac qualified in Turkey and then worked in the field of Paediatric Dentistry for six years both in research and in practice. She is firmly committed to quality preventive dentistry, and also has an interest in adult cosmetic dentistry. Mac is particularly adept at helping anxious patients feel comfortable and relaxed in the surgery. She works as a part-time clinical teacher to undergraduate students at King’s College in London. Mac is a member of British Dental association and British Society of Paediatric Dentistry. She keeps up to date with developments by attending courses and conferences in the UK and abroad. We are delighted she has chosen to join us and her experience without doubt adds an extra dimension to the practice.

Rob works with us in the capacity of Specialist Endodontist, carrying out complex root canal treatments for patients of the practice and on referral from local dentists.
Rob is a Consultant at the Eastman Dental Hospital, London. He was Clinical Lead of the Endodontic Department at the Eastman 2010-15. Since then he has remained joint Clinical Lead and is now the Endodontic Educational Supervisor for the registrars (StRs), enjoying a greater emphasis on the postgraduate clinical teaching aspects of his role. He has lectured nationally at the British Endodontic Society and provided a BES Masterclass on the Endodontic vs Restorative Considerations.

Enia qualified in 1992. After a period in general practice she obtained an MSc in Periodontology from the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute, UCL London (2001). In 2003 she completed a Fellowship in Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and became a Fellow of the College. She is also a member of British Society of Periodontology and European Federation of Periodontology.
Her main aim is to improve general well being by establishing healthy and maintainable gum tissues and preventing tooth loss due to periodontal disease. Her thorough approach, calm manner and close support of her patients yield excellent results. She is committed to keeping up-to-date and regularly attends a wide range of courses.
Enia limits her practice to periodontology and accepts referred patients for non-surgical and surgical treatment of gum disease both from within the practice and on referral from local dentists.
Enia lives locally with her husband and 3 children and in her spare time (if there is any left) she enjoys oil painting, gardening and recently walking in the beautiful Kentish Countryside.

Nicky graduated from Sheffield University in 2000 obtaining the prize for the highest overall mark in the year. After qualifying she gained invaluable experience in many areas of dentistry including Maxillofacial Surgery and Paediatric Dentistry before deciding to specialise in Orthodontics. In 2009 she obtained her Masters in Orthodontics from Sheffield University and her Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Nicky carried out her specialist training at the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead and after gaining her Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Examination in 2013 was appointed Consultant at the Medway Maritime Hospital. She enjoys all aspects of orthodontics including teaching and is currently Educational Supervisor for the orthodontic registrars.
Nicky works with us seeing both adult and child patients on a private basis for specialist orthodontic consultations and treatments for patients of the practice or on referral from local dentists.
She is married with three children who manage to take up most of her spare time!
